COVID-19 Update

We are excited to announce Venture River Water Park (VRWP) is opening  June 29, 2020. As required, VRWP submitted a reopening plan to the state of Kentucky that includes proposed guidelines to ensure guests and staff safely.

We are raising our already demanding standards to an even higher level with new protocol and procedures. We are implementing enhanced health and safety measures for our guests and staff based on mandated and recommendations from the C.D.C., the W.H.O., and OSHA.

To ensure the safest experience for everyone we need our guests to help by adhering to social distancing practices, washing and sanitizing hands frequently, and following safety guidelines provided by our trained staff and stated throughout the park.

Per Kentucky law, masks are now mandated. Masks should be worn when entering the park, when in line to make purchases, and going to the restroom. Masks cannot be worn in the water or on water attractions.

Guidelines

Encourage Electronic Payments: Guests are encouraged to purchase admission tickets online prior to arriving at the park to minimize interactions during the park entry experience. Guests are encouraged to use card instead of cash while visiting.

Manage Park Capacity: The number of guests admitted each day is limited per state and local guidelines. While we have temporary capacity limits due to local and state COVID guidelines, the tremendous size of our property allows us to safely social distance and we do not anticipate having to turn park visitors away.

Implement Daily Wellness Checks: Team members must undergo a verbal screening every day upon arrival. Team members must receive a temperature check prior to entrance and can NOT enter the park if temperature exceeds 100.4.

Practice Social Distancing: Guests are guided by signs and announcements to stay at least six feet from others and limit interactions with those who are not in their party. No groups greater than 10 are allowed at this time.

Promote Hand Hygiene: Additional hand sanitizing stations are placed throughout the park.

Clean Disinfect and Sanitize: Team members are assigned additional duties that support cleanliness throughout the park, including disinfecting lounge chairs, tabletops, tubes, mats, door handles, and other surfaces.

We cannot thank you enough for your continued support and understanding. We look forward to seeing you soon at Venture River Water Park.
